A pet peeve of mine is when I make pop culture references that people I'm talking to are too young to understand. I absorbed pop culture constantly when I was little, whether it was aimed at children or adults. As a result I now sometimes drop references that make more sense to people my parents' age... never mind people 10 or more years younger than me. I usually catch myself, but when I slip (and know it), it's embarrassing.

I started to make that sentence say "younger than I", but then I thought that looked dumb. Refer to post from earlier today.
