Quote

A couple of quotes come to mind when I look back on last week's GS show:

"We hear your one hand clapping.
It's music to our ears.
You don't like the way we sound.
We don't like the way you hear."

- Ja wbr eak er

"We gotta tune up. We pound these fuckin' guitars like jackhammers. Whattya think, we're lightweights?"

- the Mi sfi ts

The Jwbrkr quote was more for the negative part of the polarized room.

I don't like Jwrbrlstgh (is this a spam-preventative thing?), and I am a dipshit for missing the show last week, but I am absolutely 100% behind that Mstuftjgfhnjdjifs quote. Guitars go out of tune when you play them this hard, you gawking pussies.

That last comment is not directed at anyone in particular. At least not this week.

Naw, it's just to make my blog less searchable.

And yeah... tuning happens, people. I think I made a post before about being better at auditory than visual tuning. Tuning visually to me seems like using a ruler to measure out a cup of water. If pure precision is required, I find it easiest to use a tuner on the top string and go by ear from there. My earliest experiences with tuners were frustrating because the strings would "look" in tune but sound like shit.
