Eulogy

GS has broken up. I'm kind of sad about it but that's the way it goes. My heart stopped being in it before my mind could realize what was happening. I still like the songs and the people.

Bands are so much like relationships, it's not even funny. Most of us have been in a situation where the tank was empty, but we stayed with that person anyway. We didn't dislike them. The love was gone, but we were overly comfortable and afraid to pull the trigger. Out of the three of us in the band, I was by far the most passive about this issue. I didn't raise it in the first place, nor was I in a big hurry to resolve it. Too passive-aggressive.
